Option 1: Use pre-made flash card decks
See all our flash card sets on Quizlet here.
Individual sets include:
- Greek Alphabet lowercase (Quizlet link)
- Greek Alphabet uppercase (Quizlet link)
- Vocab Blitz – Level 1 (Quizlet link)
- Vocab Blitz – Level 2 (Quizlet link)
The Speed Greek method is the fastest way to learn Greek vocabulary – using audio mnemonics for rapid study and recall. Vocab Blitz Levels 1 and 2 combined give you 204 of the most common words in the Greek New Testament.
Option 2: Create new flash cards
If our pre-made flashcard decks don’t have the words you need, make your own! Quizlet makes it easy to create a new set by importing directly from spreadsheet data, like the Excel file you receive with Speed Greek Vocab Blitz courses.
1. Prepare your spreadsheet data
Open your spreadsheet file. Ensure it’s formatted with Greek in column A and English in column B. Highlight and copy both columns. Quizlet supports rows separated by new lines and columns by tabs, commas, or spaces. For example, “λόγος, word” or “λόγος word” on each line.
2. Log into Quizlet
Head to Quizlet and click Log In in the top-right corner (or create a free account if new).
3. Create new deck
Check the left sidebar under “Start here” and click “Flashcards”. You should now be on the page titled “Create a new flashcard set”.
4. Paste the info
Give your flash card set a title (for example, “Vocab Blitz – Level 1”). Click the [+ Import] button, then paste the columns you copied in Step 1 above.
5. Format the import
Preview to ensure Greek shows correctly—no issues with accents or scripts. Spot check a few Greek-English pairs in the “Preview” window at the bottom of the Import screen. If you see any issues, make sure your default setting for “Between term and definition” is Tab, and “Between cards” is “New line”.
6. Hit “Import”
Hit the Import button and that’s it, you’re done! Quizlet makes creating new flashcard sets easy.
